Cougars Basketball Clinics

Introducing Cougar Basketball Clinics. Over the 2024/2025 Summer Holidays we’ll be hosting 4 x 3 hour clinics to be held at Highland Reserve State School. The clinics will be open to all athletes, not just Cougars Players and all skill levels. Sessions will also include a 45-60 minute dedicated fitness session with a PT!

2024/2025 School Holidays

Friday 20th December
- 2PM – 5PM: Girls born 2017-2012. Boys born 2017-2014.
- 4PM – 7PM: Girls born 2011-2006. Boys born 2013-2006.

Thursday 9th January 2025
- 2PM – 5PM: Girls born 2017-2012. Boys born 2017-2014.
- 4PM – 7PM: Girls born 2011-2006. Boys born 2013-2006.

Thursday 16th January 2025
- 2PM – 5PM: Girls born 2017-2012. Boys born 2017-2014.
- 4PM – 7PM: Girls born 2011-2006. Boys born 2013-2006.

Coaches

Your children will be trained by some of the top Coaches available within the Cougars community:

Walter Roodt
- Cougars Head of Coaching and Player Development
- U16 and U18 A grade coach
- Previous state/country coaching experience

Simon Hardy
- One of the most technical and effective coaches. Excellent communicator, practician and motivator
- Played since 9 years old in Carrara comp top grade. Played for Bond University team including the University games.

Riley Sharp
- U12 Northern Gold Coast Seahawks (Rep) Coach
- Coached multiple U14 Boys teams to successive Grand Finals

Luke Hampshire
- President of the Coomera Cougars
- Coached his U14 Boys team to two successive Grand Finals (B and BR grade). Coached his U12 Boys team into two successive finals campaigns

Cost

Price is $25 per clinic plus transaction fees.
A small Basketball Queensland fee $7.44 (plus transaction fee) will apply to the first clinic for insurance coverage.
