The Cougars are dedicated to nurturing talent from a range of local schools including Cedar Creek State School, Coomera Springs State School, Coomera State School, Gilston State School, Highland Reserve State School, Hillcrest Christian College, Oxenford State School, St Kevin’s School, Toogoolawa School, Upper Coomera State College, Woongoolba State School, Coomera Rivers State School, Picnic Creek State School, Foxwell State Secondary College, and St Joseph’s College Coomera.

UNDER 8 YEARS OF AGE
For boys and girls born in 2019 or 2020
Looking for the perfect way to introduce your child to basketball? The Under 8 Mixed Basketball competition is a fun, safe, and exciting first step for young athletes to experience the game.
Whether your child is brand new to basketball or already dribbling around the driveway, our program is designed to build confidence, skills, and a love for the sport.
Why Under 8 Cougars Basketball?
- Fun & Inclusive – Boys and girls play together in mixed teams.
- More Time with the Ball – Only 4 players on the court per team, meaning everyone gets involved.
- Hoops Lowered for Success – Encourages more scoring and helps develop proper shooting technique.
- Join Anytime – Seasons run each school term, so new players can start throughout the year.

Cost & Registration
- $271.22 per term (includes Basketball Queensland annual fee)
- Payment Plan: $90 upfront, then as little as $15 per week

UNDER 10 – 20 YEARS OF AGE
Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or already chasing their basketball dreams, the Seahawks U10–U20 competition has a place for them. With graded age groups and divisions, every player finds the right level of challenge, fun, and development.
The competition runs two seasons per year:
- Summer Season: October – March
- Winter Season: April – September
Registrations are now open for Summer Season (October 2025 – March 2026)
Why Join the Seahawks Competition?
- Graded Competitions – From beginners to advanced players, we match you to the right level.
- Two Seasons a Year – Start in April or join later in October.
- Great Facilities – Games are played primarily at Coomera Indoor Sports Centre, with nearby venues used only when major events are on.
- Pathway to Progress – Many players go from here into representative basketball and beyond.
Age Groups for Summer Season (2025-2026)
- U10 Boys & U10 Girls: Born 2017–2018
- U12 Boys & U12 Girls: Born 2015–2016
- U14 Boys & U14 Girls: Born 2013–2014
- U16 Boys: Born 2011–2012
- U18 Boys: Born 2009–2010
- U20 Boys: Born 2007–2008
- Super League Girls (SLG): Born 2007–2012
Playing Costs
- $544.42 per season (includes Basketball Queensland annual fee)
- Payment Plan: $170 upfront, then as little as $25 per week
- One-off uniform fee of $90 for new players (shorts and singlet).

Players require a playing uniform (singlet and shorts) which can be purchased from our uniform provider Hoop2Hoop (see link below). Our uniform is fully reversible so we can ensure we never clash with our opposition. Our main colour is dark grey with light grey and lime green trim. Our alternate side is light grey with dark grey and lime green trim.
More optional uniform and merchandise options will be added over time as we grow.
